INGREDIENTS FOR THIS KETO BREAD

Another awesome part about this low carb bread recipe is you only need a few simple ingredients to make it!

Here's everything you'll need:

  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ½ scoop unflavored whey protein powder
  • ½ teaspoon confectioners erythritol
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 70g water

Pretty simple, right? You probably have a few of these ingredients on hand already.

And if you have to run to the store, making the trip is so worth it. I have a feeling you'll agree after you take your first bite of this keto bread.

BEST INGREDIENTS TO USE

So, like I said, each slice of keto bread will have just 1g net carb if you use the same ingredients that I used.

And the base of this low carb keto bread recipe is made primarily out of 2 ingredients - Blanched almond flour, and unflavored whey protein powder.

The carbs in almond flour can vary A LOT from brand to brand, but this Blue Diamond almond flour is the lowest in net carbs and also the best one that I've used. It works really well to make a wide variety of things like keto pancakes and keto donuts.

As for the protein powdered, I HIGHLY recommend using the same unflavored protein powder that I used for today's recipe. And that is thisUnflavored Whey Protein By Isopure.

I like it for a few reasons...

  • It's ZERO Carb
  • It bakes GREAT
  • You can make it taste like WHATEVER you want

Other unflavored whey protein powders might work, but I honestly haven't tried.

There is "soy lecithin" in the Unflavored Whey By Isopure, and it's a binding agent. So I don't recommend replacing the protein powder with another ingredient, but substituting it with another brand "could/might/has a chance" at working.

By the way, you can always buy a loaf of keto bread at the store or online. I put together a full list of keto friendly bread options for you guys here.

And if you don't have protein powder, I just posted a 90 second keto bread that doesn't require it. So check that recipe out if you don't have any.

HOW TO MAKE KETO BREAD

The process of making this keto bread could not be any easier. It's seriously the easiest keto bread recipe you'll come across. So with that said, let's get to it.

First, add all of the ingredients to a medium-sized bowl. Then mix everything together until the ingredients combine with one another and a thick batter forms.

Next, coat a 3 cup Tupperware dish or square bowl with baking spray and evenly spread the batter out in it.

Then microwave for about 1-2 minutes depending on the strength of your microwave. My microwave is 700 watts - it's on the weaker side - and 2 minutes is the perfect time.

Finally, let the bread cool down in the dish then cut it in half horizontally, and cut those in half to make 4 slices of bread. Enjoy!
