Understanding the ideal trader sell order and what to sell to each trader can significantly enhance your Roubles gained from Tarkov raids and save time. Navigating the diverse preferences of the different traders, the Flea Market as an alternative option and sorting through the hundreds of lootable items can be a daunting task for both new and experienced Tarkov players.
I recommend following a sell order of Ragman, Jaeger, Therapist, Mechanic, Prapor, Skier and Peacekeeper with further detail on this page of the best items to sell to each of these Tarkov traders. It also includes my personal recommendations of the best items to buy and sell to each trader which is a common Tarkov trader levelling method used by the community that I have successfully used across multiple game wipes to streamline the trader process and maximise raid profits.

Tarkov Trader Sell Order & What To Sell Summary
The current best order to sell your Tarkov loot to traders is:
Ragman > Jaeger > Therapist > Mechanic > Prapor > Skier > Peacekeeper > Fence
This order maximises your Roubles gained in the vast majority of cases and gives you a consistently quick process for selling loot from raids. This Tarkov selling order should only be used for items you don’t intend to sell on the Flea Market either because they lack value, aren’t found in raid status or you don’t have access to the Flea Market yet.
Fence can be included at the end of this priority list as he will purchase everything (including damaged armour or weapons) but pays less than other traders and doesn’t have the same buy/sell level up requirement. Fence is a convenient point of sale for everything though if you want the fastest post raid option and don’t mind sacrificing overall Roubles gained.

What To Sell To Ragman
Ragman is the best place to start your Tarkov sell order as he will pay the best price for a number of clothing themed items provided they have the majority of their durability. He is the best trader for the various armours, rigs, backpacks and accessory clothing items like those items worn on your eye or face in Escape From Tarkov which can quickly accumulate from your Scav Runs. Ragman is usually one of the easier traders to level up given the abundance of these items players will accumulate and the general high price paid for them.
What To Sell To Jaeger
Playing the role of survivalist hunter in the Tarkov universe Jaegar has an interest in shotguns, bolt action rifles, melee weapons, building materials and medical items. He will often pay equal or slightly less than Therapist as shown on the screenshots on this page so players can swap who they sell medical items based on their current Jaeger money spent needs.
If you’re wondering what does Jaeger buy to increase money spent for trader level purposes the best options to purchase from the Flea market and sell to him are the Antique Axe, Freeman Crowbar, Bars A-2607 knife (brown handle) and unpopular riflescopes such as the NPZ 1P78-1 2.8x scope,
KMZ 1P59 3-10x riflescope, KMZ 1P69 3-10x riflescope, March Tactical 3-24×42 FFP 30mm riflescope,
Armasight Vulcan MG 3.5x Bravo night vision scope, Hensoldt FF 4-16×56 34mm riflescope, Leupold Mark 4 LR 6.5-20×50 30mm riflescope, Schmidt & Bender PM II 3-12×50 34mm riflescope
and many others that players can price check for themselves.
What To Sell To Therapist
Therapist was originally the most popular trader in the sell order priority as she purchased a large number of items at a premium to other traders. Over time this has been balanced to where she is only the best trader for medical, keys, barter items, dogtags and food items although given these are in abundance compared to other items in Tarkov Therapist is still a commonly used trader.
What To Sell To Mechanic
A fan of guns based on his Gunsmith quest line Mechanic is a good place to sell any ammo, weapons and attachments that you can’t sell to Jaeger. While Mechanic pays high Roubles for these item types the price between Mechanic, Prapor and Skier is generally only a few thousand Roubles so players can adjust their personal sell order to where they need the money spent reputation requirements instead which increases with each item sold to the trader.
What To Sell To Prapor
While Prapor does buy a reasonable range of items he is generally lower than alternative traders for these items which places him lower on the priority list. These items includes medical, ammo, armour, weapons and attachments which you will occasionally want to sell for trader requirements as Prapor has a number of important weapon and modifications to unlock.
What To Sell To Skier
Skier is another trader that won’t be your first choice for selling items which leaves many players behind in his money spent value. The best items to Sell to Skier are weapons, magazines and weapon attachments you might have otherwise sold to Mechanic or Prapor as this only loses a small amount of Roubles overall.
If you are wondering what to buy and sell to Skier from the Flea Market to quickly level reputation the best things will be unpopular Tarkov attachments or magazines that have a similar price on the market as Skier pays or players can pre purchase Euros that are required from some Tarkov quests. Alternatively buying attachments directly from Skier that might be slightly weaker than your usual attachments can quickly add up over time.
What To Sell To Peacekeeper
Representing the UN faction Peacekeeper is a $USD based trader (buy and sell) rather than Roubles like the other Tarkov traders. He will purchase some weapons, armours, ammunition and intelligence based items like the SSD, diaries and secure flash drives.
With niche item purchases many players struggle to determine the best item to buy and sell to Peacekeeper and my recommendations are the diary, slim diary, SSD drive, SAS drive and secure magnetic tape cassette although you will take a slight loss when purchasing these from the Flea Market and selling to Peacekeeper. Like Skier another best way to spend money with Peacekeeper is to use some of his weapons and attachments as part of your core raid builds as this adds up quickly or purchasing $USD for certain quest requirements.
What To Sell To Fence
The leftover trader that will purchase every single item in the game including damaged armour and weapons that other traders will not accept. Fence pays notably less than other traders for items though even when you factor in the repair costs you would spend to make them purchasable by other traders. Despite this Fence can still be useful for players that want a quick place to dump their excess items and don’t mind losing some Roubles for the convenience of not having to visit each trader.
