We definitely know a thing or two about appetizer recipes around here. They are actually one of my favorite types of recipes to create because they are quick, easy, and bursting with flavor.

Sure I like to serve them when we have company or at parties, but we make them for all kinds of reasons. They are great when watching the big game, or a movie, and sometimes I’ll make a few different appetizers and we enjoy them for dinner.

This recipe for Bacon Wrapped Barbecue Beef Bites is one of our family favorites (right up there with Double Bacon Jalapeno Poppers!). You just can’t go wrong with bacon, beef, and barbecue!

Why This Recipe Works

The combination of bacon, beef, and barbecue sauce taste great together. Cooking the beef wrapped in bacon also helps to make it even more tender.

You can serve these beef bites as an appetizer, snack, or party finger food.

This recipe is gluten free and can easily be made low carb and keto-friendly.

Tips and Techniques for the Best Bacon Wrapped Barbecue Beef Bites

  • Use a tender cut of beef for the best results. The most tender cuts of beef come from the tenderloin, but are typically the most expensive – think filet mignon. Other tender cuts are flat iron, New York strip, porterhouse, and T-bone.
  • To make this recipe low carb and keto-friendly, choose a low or sugar free barbecue sauce. I use G Hughes brand.
  • Store leftover beef bites in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. Use within 3-4 days.

FAQ’s

  • Are beef bites keto? Beef bites with nothing more than salt and pepper are definitely keto friendly. Once seasonings and sauces are added, the nutritional value changes. Whether or not a recipe for beef bites is keto will depend on the exact ingredients being used.
  • What do you serve with beef bites? Beef bites can be served as an appetizer along with a variety of other appetizers. If you are serving beef bites as a meal, any vegetable or starch should pair just fine with them.
