Lasagna-Style Baked Ziti Recipe

Ingredients you will need:

  • 8 oz. dried ziti
  • 1/3 C. parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz. ricotta
  • 3 C. spinach
  • 1/2 C. mozzarella
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 T. garlic
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 C. arrabiata sauce

Preheat oven to 400°. Cook pasta according to package directions. Lightly coat an 8″ x 8″ pan with cooking spray (unless it’s a stoneware pan). Heat olive oil in a large pan. When warm, add onion. Saute for 3 to 5 minutes, then add garlic. Saute for 30 seconds.

Brown ground beef in pan with the onions. Add salt and pepper.

Add sauce, Parmesan, ricotta, spinach, and cooked ziti.

Stir to combine.

Place pasta mixture in prepared pan.

Hi, it’s Kristi in the Rada Cutlery kitchen, and today I’m going to show you how to make a lasagna-style baked ziti.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Lightly coat an 8” x 8” pan with cooking spray. Heat up olive oil in a large pan. When warm, add a small chopped onion and saute for 3 to 5 minutes or until softened. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and saute until fragrant. Add a half pound of ground beef, stirring to crumble. Cook until browned. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper.

Add 1 ½ cups of arrabiata, 1/3 cup shredded parmesan, 8 ounces of ricotta, 3 cups of spinach, and 8 ounces of cooked ziti. Stir to combine.

Transfer the pasta mixture to the pan. Sprinkle with a half cup of shredded mozzarella. Bake 15 minutes or until the mozzarella has melted. Then let it cool for 10 minutes.
